About the area

Klausberg Skiarena in the Italian Dolomites is built for people still learning and for families. Just over half of the 61 km of pistes is blue (31 km), and there are 21 short easy runs right next to a lift base, so beginners can repeat the same slope without long traverses. Four magic carpets cover first steps. Only 13% of the terrain — about 8 km — is black, and the longest single vertical on one run is 916 m, so committed experts will run out of new ground quickly. Confident intermediates get 22 km of red.

Twenty lifts serve the area, including six gondolas, which means small children never have to load a chairlift; there are also eight chairlifts and two platters. The ski area runs from 938 m up to 2,472 m, giving a maximum vertical of 916 m, and the longest descent measures about 8 km. Roughly 2 km of piste is floodlit for evening skiing.
