About the area

Klausberg – Monte Chiusetta in the Italian Dolomites is a compact area of about 26 km: 12 km of blue pistes, 9 km of red and 5 km of black. That mix, with 46% of the runs green or blue, works for improving intermediates and for beginners who accept the caveats — there is only one magic carpet for first steps, and 19% of the terrain is black or freeride, so learners need to plan where they go. Experts will run out of hard pistes quickly, since those 5 km of black are the whole of the demanding offer.

Nine lifts serve the mountain: four gondolas, four chairlifts and the magic carpet. The four gondolas help with small children, who do not have to load a moving chairlift. Skiing runs from 1,034 m at the valley floor up to 2,472 m, so the upper slopes hold snow far better than the bottom.
