SkiTrip helps you choose where to sleep for a ski trip in Europe: which village or town, for which ski area, and how you get from the door to the lift. Every number on the site is measured from open map data, never copied from a brochure.
Our Mission
THE BASE IS THE DECISION
Ski resorts are sold as a number of pistes. The trip is decided by something else: the village you book, whether you walk to the lift or take a bus, and whether the terrain actually fits a first-week skier or a family with small children. SkiTrip puts the base first and measures the mountain behind it.
Piste kilometres by colour, lifts by type, top and bottom altitude, the longest run, the nursery slopes at a lift base — all computed from OpenStreetMap geometry via OpenSkiMap. Where a resort publishes different official figures, we show both and link the source.

OUR VALUES
MEASURED, NOT MARKETED
A ski area's statistics are computed from the pistes and lifts on the map, the same way for every resort, so 100 km in the Dolomites means the same as 100 km in the Tatras. A fact we cannot measure or cite stays empty rather than guessed.
OPEN DATA, PROPER CREDIT
We build on OpenStreetMap and OpenSkiMap (ODbL), official resort pages cited by URL, and Creative Commons imagery. Every source is attributed. We never scrape platforms that forbid it and never use AI-generated scenery.
SKIERS FIRST
The beginner, family and expert verdicts are computed from terrain, not written to please a resort. Rankings reflect what we can verify, not payment. We earn affiliate commissions, but editorial decisions are independent. See our methodology and disclosures.
FREE TO USE
Ski areas, bases, piste profiles and travel guides are free. No subscriptions, no paywalls, no login. The platform is sustained by affiliate commissions when you book a stay, a transfer or a rental through our links.
