Schladming Dachstein spreads 176.1 km of piste across Styria, and the mix is squarely aimed at learners and steady cruisers: 93.61 km of blue and 70.93 km of red, with just 8.4 km rated black or freeride (5%). With 54% of the pistes green or blue (95 km) and 8 magic carpets for first turns, it works well for beginners and for families skiing together. Experts should expect to run out of steep terrain quickly.

Schladming itself is the practical base — about 502 m on foot to the lifts. Of the 71 lifts, 14 are gondolas or cable cars, so small children can be loaded without wrestling a chairlift; 19 chairlifts cover the rest. Skiing runs between 723 m and 2004 m, so the lower slopes sit fairly low. Cross-country skiers have 22.4 km of trails.
