Valdesquí

About the area

Valdesquí is a small, easy-going area in the Sierra de Guadarrama: about 20 km of pistes, of which 86% (18 km) are green or blue. There are 6 km of green runs, 12 km of blue, 2 km of red and just 1 km of black — 4% of the terrain. That makes it a straightforward choice for beginners, with two magic carpets for first turns and 14 short easy runs right next to a lift base, and it works for intermediates who want to cover distance on blues. Experts will run out of options quickly; the longest vertical on a single run is 314 m. Families can ski here, though the beginner zones do most of the work.

The slopes run from 1,870 m to 2,260 m, a vertical of 390 m, with the longest run measuring 1,564 m. Fifteen lifts serve the area: 6 chairlifts, 6 drag lifts, a rope tow and 2 magic carpets, so queues spread across several sectors.
