With 211 km of pistes, Tignes - Val d'Isère is a big area weighted towards easy and mid-level skiing: 117 km, or 55%, is green or blue, and 71 km of red gives intermediates plenty of room to progress. Beginners are well served by 12 magic carpets and 73 short easy runs next to a lift base, and families benefit from 9 gondola and cable-car lifts, so small children don't have to load a chairlift. Experts get 22 km of black terrain (11%) but no marked freeride, so the challenge is limited.

The 84 lifts include 38 chairlifts, 7 gondolas and 2 cable cars. Tignes is a ski-in/ski-out base with lifts 78 m away. The area runs from 1,558 m to 3,447 m, which is high and reliable for snow; the longest run is 4,466 m and the biggest single-run vertical is 830 m. There is also 1 km of cross-country track and 1 km of floodlit piste.
