About the area
Stari Vrh is a small Slovenian area built around red runs: of roughly 7 km of pistes, about 6 km are red, with only 1 km of blue and 1 km of black. That makes it a place for confident intermediates who want to lap the same slopes rather than explore. It is not a beginner hill — only about 9% of the terrain is easy and there is a single magic carpet for first turns — and for the same reason it works poorly for families with small children. Experts will find the 1 km of black too little to hold interest.
Five lifts serve the hill: one chair, two drag lifts, a platter and the magic carpet. The skiing runs from 592 m to 1183 m, so 441 m of vertical, and the longest descent measures 1805 m in one go — enough for continuous, uninterrupted runs. Around 3 km of piste is floodlit for evening skiing.
