About the area

Skiarena Jizerky is a small network of short slopes: about 10 km of pistes in total, of which 7 km are blue and 3 km red, with only 4% rated black or expert. Around ten short easy runs sit right next to a lift base, so first-timers and cautious learners have plenty of low-commitment terrain, though the lack of length is a real limit. Experts should look elsewhere: the longest single run is 413 m and the biggest vertical on one descent is 78 m.

Lifts do most of the work here: 20 in total, but 14 platters and 4 T-bars against just 2 chairlifts, so expect surface tows and short rides. The area spans 538 m to 807 m, a 269 m range that is low by Alpine standards, so conditions depend heavily on cold spells. Best used as a half-day or evening stop, or as a teaching hill.
