Ski Lysá

About the area

Ski Lysá is a small Slovak area in the Tatras and Fatra region with about 10 km of pistes, and the balance leans clearly towards red runs: 6 km of them, against 2 km of blue and 3 km of black. That mix makes it a place for confident intermediates rather than anyone learning. Beginners get only 16% easy terrain, spread over four short runs by a lift base, while the 3 km of black slopes (27% of the area) are not enough to keep committed experts busy, even with 340 m of vertical on the longest descent.

Five lifts serve the hill: one chair, three platters and one further drag lift, so expect short laps rather than long queues of options. The slopes run from 627 m to 1067 m, a low altitude that makes conditions dependent on the weather. The longest run measures 2,077 m. Cross-country skiers have 38 km of trails.
