With 37 km of green and blue pistes out of 59 km total, this Bernese Oberland area is built for people still learning. Nine short easy runs sit right by a lift base, so you can lap them without long traverses. Reds add up to 17 km for intermediates working on speed and turn shape. Experts have little here: 5 km of black terrain, about 9 percent, and the biggest vertical on a single run is 608 m. Families will find it workable, with the caveat that four gondolas make loading easier for small children than chairlifts.
Sixteen lifts serve the area: four gondolas, seven chairlifts, four T-bars and one platter. Slopes run from 944 m to 2001 m, so lower sections depend on the weather. The longest descent measures 3529 m. There are also 19 km of cross-country trails and 2 km of floodlit piste.
