Porté-Puymorens is a small Pyrenean area with 27 km of pistes, and the balance leans clearly towards easier skiing: 17 km, or 63%, is green or blue, and five short easy runs sit right next to a lift base, which makes the first days straightforward. Black, expert and freeride terrain adds up to 6 km, about 23%, but with a maximum vertical of 466 m on a single run there is not enough sustained steep skiing to hold committed experts. Families can ski here, with some reservations.
Eleven lifts serve the area: four chairlifts, six platters and one rope tow, so expect drag lifts on much of the terrain. The slopes run from 1620 m to 2474 m, a useful height for the range, and the longest descent measures 2277 m. Beginners will spend most of their time on the lower, gentler sectors near the lift bases.
