Plešivec

About the area

Plešivec is a small area in the Czech Ore Mountains, and it is built for learning. Around 83% of the marked pistes are green or blue — about 9 km out of 10 km — and there are six short easy runs grouped next to a lift base, so beginners can repeat the same slope without long traverses. Two magic carpets cover the first steps, which also helps families, though the choice for children beyond the nursery area is limited. Experts have little here: roughly 1 km, or 8%, is black terrain, and the longest vertical on a single run is 227 m.

Six lifts serve the hill: three chairlifts, one platter and the two carpets. The slopes run between 707 m and 1012 m, so snow depends on cold spells rather than altitude. The longest descent measures 2291 m, and about 1 km of piste is floodlit for evening skiing.
