About the area

Pizol offers about 40 km of pistes, and the balance leans towards easier and mid-range skiing: 41% of the runs are green or blue (17 km), with roughly 14 km of red. That mix, plus two magic carpets and 16 short easy runs next to a lift base, makes it a sensible choice for beginners and for families. Strong skiers should temper expectations: only around 10 km (24%) is black, expert or freeride terrain, including 4 km of marked freeride, and the longest vertical on a single run is 600 m.

The area runs from 512 m up to 2250 m, so the upper slopes hold snow better than the valley floor. Fourteen lifts serve it, among them two gondolas or cable cars, which means small children can be loaded without a chairlift, plus four chairlifts and several drag lifts. The longest run measures 3009 m.
