About the area

Orelle is a small, high area: 23 km of pistes, of which 64% (15 km) are green or blue, so it reads mainly as beginner and intermediate terrain. A magic carpet handles first turns and there are six short easy runs next to a lift base, which also makes it workable for families; two gondolas mean small children avoid chairlift loading altogether. Experts will find it thin, with only 3 km of black and freeride skiing (13%) and 2 km of that marked freeride.

Six lifts serve the slopes: two gondolas, three chairlifts and the carpet. The skiing sits between 2337 m and 3220 m, so snow cover is generally reliable through the season. The longest descent runs 3510 m and the biggest vertical on a single run is 627 m. There is also about 1 km of cross-country track.
