About the area

Obersaxen in Graubünden is a mostly gentle to mid-range area: of the 91 km mapped, 46 km are blue and 39 km red, with only about 4 km of black. That 5 percent share of hard terrain, plus a maximum vertical of 824 m on a single descent, means committed experts will run out of challenge quickly. Beginners and families get the better deal: 47 km, or 51 percent, counts as easy, there are 21 nursery runs and two magic carpets to start on.

Twenty lifts serve the slopes, nine of them chairlifts, with the rest drags, rope tows and carpets. The area runs from 1,244 m to 2,269 m, giving 1,025 m of total range, and the longest single run measures 6,447 m. The bases at Surcuolm (1,346 m) and Inder Platenga both need a walk to the lift, 577 m and 797 m respectively. The operator lists 120 km of piste; the 2025/26 season ran 19 December to 6 April.
