About the area

Montecampione is a red-run area: of about 20 km of pistes, some 13 km are red, so confident intermediates get the most out of it. Easy terrain is limited to roughly 4 km, about 22% of the area, and amounts to two short simple runs near a lift base, which is why it does not really work for beginners or for families needing gentle progression. Experts have about 3 km of black terrain, 15% of the total, with the biggest continuous drop on one run at 432 m — enough for a few steep laps, not for a whole trip.

The slopes run between 1145 m and 1831 m, giving 686 m of vertical overall, and the longest single descent measures 1635 m. Four lifts serve the area: three chairlifts and one platter, so lift infrastructure is simple and best skied by picking one or two sectors and repeating them.
