Malinô Brdo

About the area

Malinô Brdo is a mid-sized Slovak area in the Tatras and Fatra region with about 12 km of pistes, and the balance is clearly tilted towards confident skiers: roughly 7 km are red and around 2 km black, plus about 1 km of marked freeride terrain. Only 17 percent of the runs (some 2 km) are green or blue, and the two easy runs sit next to a lift base, so it is not a place to learn. Equally, with 284 m of vertical on the longest single descent, committed experts will find it short. Solid intermediates get the most out of it.

Skiing runs between 543 m and 1205 m, so snow conditions depend on the weather at the lower elevations. Seven lifts serve the area: one gondola, one chairlift and five platters. The gondola does the main access work from the valley, which also avoids chairlift loading with small children. The longest run measures 1641 m.
