About the area
Lipno-Kramolín is a small hill in the Šumava region: about 7 km of pistes, of which roughly 4 km are blue and 2 km red. There is no black, expert or freeride terrain at all, and the longest continuous vertical on a single run is 189 m, so strong skiers will run out of ideas quickly. Beginners are reasonably served — 59% of the pistes are green or blue — but with only one short easy run near a lift base, the learning space is limited.
All four lifts are chairlifts, which makes repeat laps easy and quick. The slopes run between 708 m and 898 m, a total vertical of 189 m, so low altitude means snow conditions depend on a cold spell. The longest descent measures 1297 m, enough for a proper warm-up run before you start repeating the reds.
