Les Arcs is a big-mountain area with 172.31 km of marked pistes, and the balance tips clearly toward easy and mid-level skiing: 56% of the runs are green or blue (96 km), including 92.53 km of blues against only 3.69 km of green. Beginners and families are the natural fit, helped by two magic carpets for first turns. Strong skiers get a qualified yes: 18.65 km of black, 4.9 km of expert and 0.38 km of freeride add up to 24 km, or 14% of the area, and there is no marked freeride terrain.

The lift system counts 48 installations: 23 chairlifts, 6 gondolas, 4 cable cars, plus drags and two carpets. Ten gondola and cable-car lifts mean small children can avoid chairlift loading.
