La Pierre Saint-Martin in the French Pyrenees is a compact area of 25 km, and two thirds of it (17 km) is green or blue, which makes it a solid choice for people learning to ski. Three magic carpets cover the very first steps, and there are 13 short easy runs close to a lift base, so beginners can repeat the same slope without long transfers. Blues dominate at 14 km, so confident intermediates have plenty to cruise.
