About the area

Kranjska Gora is a compact area of about 22 km of pistes under Vitranc, and it reads clearly as a learners' and easy-cruising hill. Around 44% of the marked terrain is green or blue (10 km), there are two magic carpets for first turns, and a number of short easy runs sit right next to a lift base, so beginners can repeat the same slope without long traverses. Red runs add another 10 km for intermediates. Experts will find little: only 2 km, or 10%, is black or freeride terrain. Families can ski here, though the offer for children is limited to the two carpets.

The lift system is 15 installations: 6 chairlifts, 7 platters and 2 magic carpets. Skiing runs from 806 m to 1,568 m, so 441 m of vertical at most, with the longest single descent 1,536 m. Cross-country skiers get 47 km of tracks, and 2 km of piste is floodlit.
