Beginners are well served — 29 km of easy pistes (30%), 19 nursery runs and 8 magic carpets — and the same features, plus gondola access and short walks to the lifts, make it workable for families. Experts get caveats: the hard share is small, though 4 km of marked freeride and a maximum vertical of 1068 m give something to work with.

The base is Innsbruck itself at 574 m, about 644 m on foot to the nearest lift. Skiing runs from 867 m up to 2333 m, so snow conditions vary a lot with altitude; the highest sectors are the safer bet early and late. There are 60 lifts in total, including 9 gondolas and 2 cable cars, the longest run measures 3326 m, and 6 km of piste are floodlit.
