Hochoetz in Tyrol is a mid-sized area of about 20 km of pistes, split almost evenly between easy and demanding: 9 km blue, 9 km red and under 2 km black. That makes it a solid intermediate mountain. Beginners have enough to work with — 46% of the runs are green or blue and there are 14 short easy runs right by a lift base — but 8% of the terrain is black, so progression needs some planning. Experts will find little here: only 2 km of black terrain and the longest single descent drops just 495 m.

The area runs from 1,407 m to 2,267 m, giving 860 m of vertical overall, with the longest run measuring 2,052 m. Thirteen lifts serve it: 2 gondolas, 6 chairlifts, 4 platters and one rope tow. The gondolas make access easy with small children, who don't have to load a moving chairlift.
