Golte

About the area

Golte is a small plateau area in the Slovenian Alps with about 10 km of marked pistes: roughly 6 km of easy blue terrain, 4 km of red and only about 1 km rated black. That mix, plus seven short easy runs grouped next to a lift base, makes it workable for beginners and for families, though the choice is limited. Experts should look elsewhere: black and freeride terrain accounts for around 5% of the area, and the longest continuous vertical on a single run is 271 m.

Six lifts serve the slopes — a cable car, four chairlifts and one drag lift. The cable car brings you up from the valley, which is convenient with small children who struggle with chairlift loading. Pistes run between 1,279 m and 1,569 m, so the vertical range is modest; the longest single run measures 1,116 m.
