Fellhorn – Kanzelwand

About the area

Fellhorn/Kanzelwand is intermediate country: of roughly 31 km of marked pistes, 15 km are red and 12 km blue, so cruising runs dominate. Only 2 km are black (7%), and with the longest single descent giving 788 m of vertical, committed experts will run out of steep terrain quickly. Beginners have 13 km of green and blue combined (42%) and seven short easy runs beside a lift base, but the black share means care is needed when picking routes. Families should note that five of the lifts are gondolas or cable cars, which is easier for small children than chairlift loading.

The area spans 917 m to 1,965 m, so the upper slopes hold snow better than the valley. Fourteen lifts serve it: three gondolas, two cable cars, six chairlifts, one T-bar and two drag lifts. The longest run measures 3,628 m, and about 1 km of piste is floodlit.
