Chamrousse offers 50 km of pistes in the Isère, and the balance sits firmly on the easier side: 54% of the runs are green or blue, some 27 km in total, with 19 short easy runs right next to a lift base. Two magic carpets handle first steps, so beginners and families have somewhere to start without a queue for the hard stuff. Experts are less well served: only 6 km, or 11%, is black or freeride terrain, and the longest single descent gives 485 m of vertical.
The area runs from 1,411 m to 2,245 m and is served by 20 lifts: one gondola, seven chairlifts, eight platters, two drag lifts and two magic carpets. The gondola means small children can get up without loading a chairlift. The longest run measures 1,794 m. There are also 26 km of cross-country trails and 6 km of floodlit piste.
