Betelberg – Lenk

About the area

Lenk - Wallegg is a small area in the Bernese Oberland with about 23 km of pistes, split almost evenly between easy and intermediate terrain: 11 km blue and 11 km red, with only 2% marked black. Beginners are well served — 48% of the runs are green or blue, a magic carpet covers first steps, and there are ten short easy runs close to a lift base. Families get two gondolas, so small children avoid chairlift loading. Experts will find little here: barely any black or freeride terrain, and the biggest single descent is 720 m of vertical.

Ten lifts serve the slopes: two gondolas, two chairlifts, four T-bars, one drag lift and a magic carpet. The area runs from 1,088 m to 1,999 m, so the upper slopes hold snow better than the valley floor. The longest run measures 3,440 m.
