About the area

Bachledova dolina is a small area in the Slovak Tatras: about 6 km of pistes, of which 39% (3 km) are green or blue and 10% are black or freeride terrain. Two magic carpets and four short easy runs next to a lift base make it workable for first steps, though the share of black terrain is worth noting when planning a beginner's week. Families get the gondola, which avoids chairlift loading with small children. Experts should look elsewhere: only 1 km is black, and the biggest vertical on a single run is 266 m.

Eight lifts serve the hill — a gondola, a chairlift, a T-bar, two platters, another drag lift and the two carpets. The slopes run from 885 m to 1,151 m, so 266 m of vertical, with the longest descent measuring 1,812 m. Altitudes are low, so check conditions before travelling.
