About the area

Anzère in Valais offers about 38 km of pistes, and the balance leans to the middle: 13 km blue and 16 km red, so confident intermediates get the most out of it. Beginners are catered for with caveats — roughly 35% of the terrain is green or blue (14 km), three magic carpets handle first turns and there are 23 short easy runs next to a lift base, but 18% of the area is black or freeride terrain. For experts the answer is no: 7 km of black and a maximum of 516 m vertical on a single run limit the challenge. Families do well thanks to the carpets and two gondolas that avoid chairlift loading with small children.

The area runs from 1,515 m to 2,411 m and is served by 13 lifts: two gondolas, three chairlifts, three platters, a T-bar, another drag lift and three magic carpets. The longest descent measures 1,700 m. There is 0.18 km of floodlit piste.
